WHEREAS, the City of Newark, Department of Water and Sewer Utilities, (the "City") is in need of standby Professional Engineering Services on an as-needed basis; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the public bidding process of the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq., the City of Newark Department of Water and Sewer Utilities advertised a Request For Qualifications (RFQ) on October 19, 2020; and
WHEREAS, eighteen (18) prospective Respondents obtained Request for Qualifications (RFQ) Packages from the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities; and
WHEREAS, on November 4, 2020, the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities received sealed Statement of Qualifications from eighteen (18) firms for the Professional Engineering Services; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities received and found a Qualification Statement from Fastech Consulting Engineers, 235 Moore Street, Hackensack, New Jersey 07601, for engineering services on an as-needed basis to be in the best interest of the City of Newark to accept; and
