7R5-c adopted on November 25, 2025, which approved a grant amount of $306,955.00 from Seton Hall University School of Nursing. An additional funding of $25,050.00 has since been awarded for the Seton Hall Program, bringing the total grant award to $332,005.00

WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in the Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of Twenty-Five Thousand Fifty Dollars and Zero Cents ($25,050.00), for Seton Hall Nursing Program, and no adequate provision has been made in the 2026 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and
WHEREAS, by the Notice of Award dated February 3, 2026, the Seton Hall University School of Nursing awarded the City of Newark additional funds in the amount of Twenty-Five Thousand Fifty Dollars and Zero Cents ($25,050.00). The aforementioned program will provide funds for the provision of health care and supportive services to the residents of the City of Newark; and
