WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of $3,000.00 bringing total program resources to $15,000.00 for the Falls Prevention Grant and no adequate provision has been made in the 2018 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and
WHEREAS, by award letter dated October 31, 2017, from the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Aging Services, the City of Newark has been awarded $3,000.00 to provide funds to train master trainers and coaches to educate caregivers of senior citizens and adults with disabilities in a Falls Prevention Grant, within the City of Newark; and
