WHEREAS, on February 27, 2025, the Office of Administration requested a declaration of emergency for immediate furnishing of two hundred (200) units to provide housing to eligible unhoused families transitioning into homes in partnership with the Newark Housing Authority. Furnishing and occupying newly renovated homes will prevent risks of burglary, adding safety to the community and protecting vital housing resources; and
WHEREAS, on February 27, 2025, the Purchasing Agent accepted the emergency declaration to provide for the furnishing of two hundred (200) unoccupied newly renovated units resulting in contracts with Cort, A Berkshire Hathaway Company ...
