WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 7R1-b(s) adopted on January 8, 2025, the Municipal Council authorized the Mayor of the City of Newark and/or his designee, the Business Administrator, to submit the 2024 One Year Action Plan for Program Year 2024-2025 to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD"), which contained requests for funds from four (4) grant programs: 1) Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG"), $6,903,166.00; 2) Emergency Solutions Grants ("ESG") $602,188.00; 3) Home Investment Partnerships ("HOME"), $2,794,733.46; and 4) Housing Opportunities for People with AIDS ("HOPWA") $5,894,807.00 (on behalf of Newark and the Eligible Metropolitan Area); and were further authorized to accept these grant funds and enter into a grant agreement wit...
