The Original Resolution 7R6-p adopted on December 21, 2022, awarded a contract for the period of January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023, for a contract amount not to exceed $100,000.00.
This First Amendment will increase the contract amount by $150,000.00, for a new total contract amount not to exceed $250,000.00.

WHEREAS, Legal Services are Professional Services and are exempt from the requirements for public bidding pursuant to the Local Public Contracts Law, more specifically, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(1)(a)(i); and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council, by Resolution 7R6-p, adopted on December 21, 2022, awarded a contract to DeCotiis, Fitzpatrick, Cole & Giblin, LLP, 61 South Paramus Road, Suite 250, Paramus, New Jersey 07652, to provide legal services as Litigation Defense Counsel, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($100,000.00), for a period of January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023; and
WHEREAS, DeCotiis, Fitzpatrick, Cole, & Giblin, LLP, on or about May 2023 expended the $100,000.00 and continued to provide legal services at the request of the Corporation Counsel for the remainder of the contract period;...
