WHEREAS, on October 2, 2024, the Municipal Council adopted Resolution 7R8-c authorizing the City of Newark ("City") to enter into a Contract for legal services in connection with election matters with Arleo & Donohue, LLC ("Arleo") for the period of November 27, 2024 to November 26, 2025; and
WHEREAS, the Office of the Business Administrator entered into said contract with Arelo on November 29, 2024 for a total contract amount not to exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($50,000.00); and
WHEREAS, on May 22, 2025, Arleo notified the City that on Monday, June 30, 2025, Arleo will dissolve its law practice; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 13 of the aforementioned contract, Arleo may assign its interest in the contract upon written approval from the City and authorization from the Municipal Council; and
