WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in Special Item of Appropriation in an additional $110,000.00 bringing total program resources to $730,000.00 for the Immunization Program, and no adequate provision has been made in the 2017 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A: 4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and
WHEREAS, by award letter dated January 17, 2017, the New Jersey Department of Health, Vaccine Preventable Disease Program, awarded the City of Newark, $110,000.00 bringing the total program resources to $730,000.00 to provide immunization service delivery, vaccine storage and handling, childhood immunization, community outreach and case management services through participation in the New Jersey Department of Health Immunization Program to the residents of the City of Newark (City-wide); and
