WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-120, Timothy Aaron Davis, 117 Schuyler Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, was appointed as Constable pursuant to Resolution 7R8-a adopted at the January 24, 2018, Regular Municipal Council Meeting; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-125, Timothy Aaron Davis, 117 Schuyler Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, must give a Bond, in such form and amount as prescribed by the Governing Body and approved as to form and sufficiency by the Acting Corporation Counsel; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-121, a Constable must qualify within thirty (30) days of the initial adoption of the resolution of appointment, and shall hold office for a term of three (3) years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL, OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The term of the Constable appointment of Timothy Aaron Davis, 117 Schuyler Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, is for a term of three (3) years, from the date of appointment or the expiration of the Constable Bond, whichever occurs first.
2. The Constable Bond, in the amount of $1,000.00, issued to Timothy Aaron Davis, of 117 Schuyler Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, is approved as to form, amount, and sufficiency.
