The total cost is $337,403.97.
NJIT will contribute $145,691.97 and Newark Public Schools will contribute $137,312.00, subject to Municipal Council approval.
The City will contribute $54,400.00 through Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) stipends to students participating in Math Success Initiative (MSI).

WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 7R1-a, adopted on February 6, 2019, the Municipal Council authorized the Mayor and/or his designee, the Business Administrator, to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the New Jersey Institute of Technology ("NJIT") to formally strengthen and build capacity within the City to enhance and deliver services to our local community; and
WHEREAS, NJIT and the Department of Economic and Housing Development ("EHD") will partner through Task Order No. 1 for the Newark Math Success Initiative (MSI) which is designed to identify and strengthen Newark high school students' mathematics knowledge, skills, and preparation for college work as further described in Exhibit A - Scope of Work; and
