BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY THAT:
1. The Portuguese-American Veteran’s Monument will honor and memorialize all Portuguese-Americans, who have served and continue to serve in the armed forces of the United States of America, particularly those who honorably fell in combat for our country.
STATEMENT
This resolution hereby supports the placement of the Portuguese - American Veterans’ Monument at Peter Francisco Park, as a way to memorialize all Portuguese-Americans who have served in the United States military, sponsored by Council Member, Augusto Amador.
