WHEREAS, the City of Newark is looking to accelerate Mayor Ras J. Baraka's vision for creating healthy, permanent and affordable housing options for our residents without addresses estimated to commence upon execution; and
WHEREAS, the City's residents without addresses require direct housing support to achieve success on their journey from homelessness to permanent housing; and
WHEREAS, Newark Housing Authority ("NHA") has identified a housing resource to support and assist the City's residents without addresses to contribute to their success of being permanently housed; and
WHEREAS, NHA agrees to support up to one hundred (100) City of Newark residents without addresses, identified through the City's Making Housing Homes: A Housing First Initiative, with housing opportunities in the form of Housing Choice Vouchers; and
