WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in the Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of One Million, Six Hundred Forty-Five Thousand, Seven Hundred Eighty-Seven Dollars and Zero Cents ($1,645,787.00), for the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program and no adequate provision has been made in the 2024 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and
WHEREAS, by the Notice of Award dated May 22, 2024, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services/Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) awarded the City of Newark additional funds in the amount of One Million, Six Hundred Forty-Five Thousand, Seven Hundred Eighty-Seven Dollars and Zero Cents ($1,645,787.00).
