WHEREAS, in 2015, the State of New Jersey Department of Community Affairs, Division of Local Government Services (Division) procured McEnerney Brady & Company, to provide agreed upon procedures/financial improvement consulting services to the City of Newark; and
WHEREAS, since 2015, McEnerney Brady & Company, LLC, has provided significant value added services to the City of Newark, including identifying budget savings, improvement in the Finance Department processes, procedures, and timeliness of financial reporting; and
WHEREAS, in 2015 and 2016, McEnerney Brady & Company, LLC, was procured and paid, by the Division of Local Government Services and such amounts paid were then deducted from the City's Transitional Aid payments. By correspondence dated April 11, 2017, the Director of the Division of Local Government Services is authorizing the City of Newark to procure the services of McEnerney Brady & Company, LLC, from January 1, 2017, through June 30, 2017, in an amount not to exceed $128,013.00; and
