WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 7R5-c adopted on April 5, 2023, the City of Newark's ("City") Department of Health and Community Wellness accepted a grant award from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (DCA), for the provision of lead abatement and minor repairs through the Municipal Lead Remediation and Abatement 2023 Program; and
WHEREAS, on September 13, 2024, the DCA notified the City of an amendment to the grant, awarding additional funds in the amount of Four Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($400,000.00), increasing the grant total to Two Million Dollars and Zero Cents ($2,000,000.00) and extending the period through December 31, 2026.
