WHEREAS, Ordinance 6PSF-e, adopted on May 20, 2015, authorizes the designation of an intersection, etc. for honorary and ceremonial purposes; and
WHEREAS, the late Dino Aquilano passed away at the age of forty-four (44) after a four (4) month battle with cancer; and
WHEREAS, Newark residents were very fond of his positive impact on community, his support of economic growth in the neighborhood and hiring local residents as an auto parts/junkyard businessman; and
WHEREAS, the late Dino Aquilano leaves behind a legacy of community achievements and conscientiousness by giving back and helping the needy during the holidays and throughout the year, along with cleaning the surroundings areas of his business to promote care for his community and improving the quality of life for all.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby authorize the honorary and ceremonial renaming of the intersection of Frelinghuysen Avenue and Virginia Street as Dino Aquilano Way.
2. The official name of said streets shall remain Frelinghuysen Avenue and Virginia Street in its entirety.

This resolution hereby authorizes the naming of the intersection of Frelinghuysen Avenue and Virginia Street as “Dino Aquilano Way”, for honorary and ceremonial purposes.
