Whereas, Rev. Dr. Wesley Lee, Sr., of the City of Newark, New Jersey has played a major role in the productivity of this community; and
Whereas, the residents of the City of Newark is very fond of the accomplishments of this consummate public servant; and
Whereas, Rev. Dr. Wesley Lee, Sr.'s self-sacrifice helped to build on the Social, Health, Educational Welfare and Political Progress of this community; and
Whereas, the Newark Municipal Council wants to commemorate the progress made by Rev. Dr. Wesley Lee, Sr.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT is does hereby authorize the naming of Camden Street and 13th Avenue as Rev. Dr. Wesley Lee, Sr. Way, for honorary and ceremonial purposes.
