Purpose: Resolution of the Municipal Council changing the date and time of the January 12, 2016 Special Conference/Meeting to January 15, 2016 (Special Conference/Meeting at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chamber)

The Office of the City Clerk in accordance with the Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et seq. provided adequate notice of this meeting change to the Star-Ledger and Jersey Journal on January 11, 2016 and disseminated to the public at large and made a part of the public record during the January 6, 2016 Municipal Council Regular Meeting.

WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is the legislative body of Newark government; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council annually approves, by resolution, the schedule of special conferences/meetings, pre-meetings and regular meetings of the Council; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council approved the Official 2016 Meeting Notices and Municipal Calendar as 7R9-a adopted on December 2, 2015; and
WHEREAS, the City Clerk published the schedule, called the " 2016 Municipal Calendar" in December 2015 in the Star -Ledger and caused the schedule to be posted on the official website of the City; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council may, by resolution, change the dates and times of Council conferences/meetings, pre-meetings and regular meetings by approving a resolution with five (5) affirmative votes; and
WHEREAS, the Special Conference/Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, January 12, 2016 needed to be changed to Friday, January 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Council Chamber.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
