Whereas, at the request of the Department of Engineering and review of the traffic operations by New Jersey Transit in conjunction with the City of Newark, Division of Traffic and Signals and pursuant to N.J.S.A 39:4-197(3)(a), the following described location is relocated as a bus stop:
DELETED BUS STOP:
1. In the Central Ward, along Irvine Turner Boulevard, northbound on the easterly side at:
Spruce Street, nearside
Beginning at the southerly curb line of Spruce Street and extending 105’ southerly therefrom.
ADDED BUS STOP:
2. In the Central Ward, along Irvine Turner Boulevard, northbound on the easterly side at:
Spruce Street, farside
Beginning at the northerly curb line of Spruce Street and extending 100’ northerly therefrom.
Whereas, pursuant to Section 39:4-197(3)(a) of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey, a municipality may by ordinance, resolution or regulation designate or delete a bus stop.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. In the Central Ward, the following described location be hereby deleted:
Along Irvine Turner Boulevard, northbound on the easterly side, at Spruce Street nearside, beginning at the southerly curb line of Spruce Street and extending 105’ southerly therefrom.
2. In the Central Ward, the following described location be hereby added:
Along Irvine Turner Boulevard, northbound on the easterly side, at Spruce Street farside, beginning at the northerly curb line of Spruce Street and extending 100’ northerly therefrom.
3. No Municipal funds need to be expended for this act.
4. No Amendment will be made to this resolution without the approval of the Municipal Council...
