AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE XXIII, TRAFFIC, CHAPTER 5, PARKING, STOPPING AND STANDING, GENERALLY, SECTION 23:5-1, PARKING PROHIBITED AT ALL TIMES, OF THE REVISED GENERAL ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, 2000, AS AMENDED AND SUPPLEMENTED, TO PROHIBIT PARKING AT ALL TIMES ON TREADWELL STREET, SOLELY ON THE NORTH SIDE, BETWEEN RIDGE STREET AND MOUNT PROSPECT AVENUE (NORTH WARD).

WHEREAS, the Municipal Council finds that it is desirable to amend Section 23:5-1, Parking Prohibited at All Times, by adding a "No Parking Anytime" restriction on Treadwell Street, solely on the north side, between Ridge Street and Mount Prospect Avenue in the North Ward.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:

SECTION 1. That Section 23:5-1, Parking Prohibited at All Times, of Title 23, Traffic, of the Revised General Ordinances of the City of Newark, New Jersey, 2000, as amended and supplemented, be amended by adding thereto the following:

Parking prohibited at all times:
Treadwell Street, north side, from Ridge Street to Mount Prospect Avenue.

SECTION 2. Any ordinances or parts thereof inconsistent with this Ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of their inconsistency only.

SECTION 3. If any part of this Ordinance shall be declared to be invalid or inoperative, such part shall be deemed severable and the invalidity thereof shall not affect remaining parts of this Ordinance.

SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon final passage and publication and in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.

SECTION 5. This Ordinance does not require approval by the Commissioner of Transportation.

SECTION 6. Codification. This Ordinance shall be a part of the Code of the City of Newark as though codified and fully set forth therein. The City Clerk shall have this Ordinance cod...
