The grant funding source is the State of New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development through the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) to assist youth, adult, and dislocated workers with significant barriers to employment, high quality jobs, and careers and to help employers hire and retain skilled workers.
All Grant funds must be fully obligated and expended by June 30, 2028.

WHEREAS, the State of New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development ("NJDOL") has awarded the City of Newark ("City") Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) grant funds in the total amount of Six Million Five Hundred Twenty-Seven Thousand Ten Dollars and Zero Cents ($6,527,010,00) for Program Year 2026 (July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2028); and
