WHEREAS, on December 15, 2020, the Department of Administration requested a declaration of emergency to construct temporary shelter containers and provide shelter operation services during Code Blue for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of the City of Newark; and
WHEREAS, on December 16, 2020, the City's Purchasing Agent, QPA, declared an emergency and awarded an Emergency Contract for the period of December 15, 2020 through March 15, 2021, in the amount of Six Hundred Thirty-Three Thousand, Three Hundred Seventy-Five Dollars and Zero Cents ($633,375.00) to: Home 4 the Homeless, 3362 Fulton Road, Fulton, California 95439 and United Community Corporation, 332 South 8th Street, Newark, New Jersey 07103 (the "Vendors").
