WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is supportive of community events that provide an essential service and entertainment to the residents of Newark while also bringing attention and awareness to all segments of the society; and
WHEREAS, the Girard and Randolph Place Block Party, event will enrich the community by giving our area an opportunity to get to meet and socialize with the neighbors and youngsters that we rarely see, and also listening to music playing, food and soft drinks are being shared; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of the Girard and Randolph Place Block Party, being held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 (Rain Date, Sunday, August 16, 2026), Girard and Randolph Place Block Party, between Randolph Place and Hawthorne Avenue Newark, from the hours 12:00 PM until 10:00 PM.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
The Municipal Council does hereby indicate its support of the Girard and Randolph Place Block Party being held on Saturday, August 15, 2026 (Rain Date, Sunday, August 16, 2026), on Girard Place between Randolph Place and Hawthorne Avenue Newark, from the hours of 11:00 AM until 7:00 PM.
