This Resolution authorizes the City of Newark to apply for grant funding in the amount of $4,302,978.00 from the NJDOT Municipal Aid Program for Street Resurfacing within the City of Newark, with no municipal funds required.

WHEREAS, the State of New Jersey Department of Transportation ("NJDOT") State Aid to Counties and Municipalities FY2024 Municipal Aid Program (the "NJDOT Municipal Aid Program") provides grant funding for the improvement and construction of local, municipal, and county road and bridge projects; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newark (the "City") needs to improve the following various roads that include drainage, ADA ramps, resurfacing, decorative crosswalks and pavement markings throughout the City; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to further the public interest by obtaining funding from the NJDOT Municipal Aid Program for Street Resurfacing - Various Streets 2024 Newark, MA-24 Project within the City as set forth in detail in the list below; and
