WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of $1,638,796.00, for the Urban Areas Security Initiative Grant and no adequate provision has been made in the 2015 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A: 4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and
WHEREAS, by authorizing Resolution 7R1-n December 3, 2014, the City of Newark accepted funds for the Urban Areas Security Initiative Grant from the State of New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness in the amount of $1,638,796.00 to provide region's ability to build, maintain and sustain national preparedness capabilities related to training, maintenance, radios, radio equipment, traffic and signals EOC integration, DPP positi...
