WHEREAS, on January 10, 2018 through Resolution 7R2h , the Municipal Council authorized the Mayor and or the Deputy Mayor of Workforce Development and or the Director of NewarkWORKS to accept the following WIOA-Adult ($1,495,756.00), and Dislocated Worker ($796,479.00) Newark Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) grant funds (formerly Workforce Investment Act), for Program Year 2017 (July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018) for a combined funding total of $2,292,235.00; which eighty (80%) percent of the funds must be obligated by June 30, 2018 and fully expended no later than June 30, 2019 or returned to the State of New Jersey "State"; and
WHEREAS, there exists a need for NewarkWORKS to enter into a contract with an entity that can provide Educational Services to Thirty (30) Adult clients in the area for HVAC I and II Ten (10), General Construction, Ten (10), and Billing & Coding, Ten (10) training; pursuant to the provisions of the WIOA for the 2017 Program Year, July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018; and
