WHEREAS, on January 8, 2013, the City of Newark through its Director of Purchasing advertised to solicit bids for contractors to provided, Rental of Portable Toilets to the Office of the City Clerk, Departments of Engineering, Police and Neighborhood and Recreational Services as per the bid proposal attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing distributed ten (10) bid packages to prospective vendors following the date of advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on January 24, 2013, two (2) bids were received in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing reviewed the bids and recommended that a line item award be made to ARF Rental Services, Inc. and Russell Reid Waste Hauling and Disposal Service Co Inc. d/b/a Mr. John Portable Sanitation Units, the ...
