WHEREAS, the City of Newark (the "City") has a need to provide Animal Shelter Management Services animals that are a danger to human beings, injured, trapped, sick or endangered; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to provide animal sheltering and impoundment services in order to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the City of Newark pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:48-2; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40:48-5.1, the City desires to enter into a contract for the period of May 1, 2026 through July 31, 2026, with the option to extend for an additional three (3) months, for a total amount not to exceed Four Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($460,000.00); and
