WHEREAS, Jamil Brewer, of 263 Lehigh Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, was appointed as a Constable pursuant to Resolution 7R8-g adopted at the April 19, 2017, Regular Municipal Council meeting; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:9-125, Jamil Brewer, must give bond within thirty (30) days of the initial adoption of the resolution of appointment in such form and amount as prescribed by the Governing Body and approved as to form and legality by the Acting Corporation Counsel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The term of the Constable Bond appointment of Jamil Brewer, of 263 Leigh Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112 is for the term of three (3) years from the date of appointment or the expiration of the Constable Bond, whichever occurs first.
2. The Constable Bond, in the amount of $1,000.00 issued to Jamil Brewer, of 263 Lehigh Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07112, is approved as to form, amount and sufficiency.
