WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution7R7-a , adopted on June 7, 2023, the City of Newark (the "City") executed and entered into an agreement with the Essex County Youth Services Commission (the "County") of New Jersey, having an address at 50 South Clinton Street, 3rd Floor, East Orange, New Jersey 07017, for a grant award in the amount of Seventy-Two Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty-Eight Dollars and Zero Cents ($72,868.00), to provide an array of services for the City's funding of the Truancy Alternative Program (TAP),which provides family strengthening social services that empowers the parent/guardian's parenting skills and motivates at-risk youth to curb truant behavior r; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Essex County Youth Services Commission amended the award letter, increasing the grant amount by an additional $14,573.00, for a total amended amount of Eighty-Seven Thousand Four Hundred Forty-One Dollars and Zero Cents ($87,441.00); and
