This Grant will provide funding for the Newark Youth Academy targeting One Hundred and Five (105) out-of-school juveniles, who have not succeeded in a traditional academic environment.

WHEREAS, the City of Newark desires to apply for and obtain a New Jersey legislative "line item" grant from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (the "Department") for approximately Two Million Dollars and Zero Cents $2,000,000.00 to carry out an "Anti-Violence Out-of-School 2026" project, to provide funds for the Newark Youth Street Academy which will target 105 out-of-school youth who have not succeeded in a traditional academic environment; and
