WHEREAS, the City of Newark desires to apply for and obtain a New Jersey legislative "line item" grant from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs ("Department") for approximately $750,000.00, to carry out the "2025 Police and Fire Capital Improvements Grant" project for the structural repairs needed to correct PEOSH violations at three (3) Newark Firehouses, located at 395 Avon Avenue, 65 Congress Street, and 469 Ferry Street; and
