Additional Information:
The proposed Project is a collaboration between Newark's government and law enforcement agencies, as well as community-based organizations, aimed to improve the City's crisis response system by enhancing existing co-responder teams to effectively provide trauma-informed comprehensive community-based behavioral health crisis services to individuals experiencing mental health emergencies, including those who are homeless.

WHEREAS, on or about July 25, 2022, the Mayor's Office of Homeless Services, on behalf of the City of Newark (the "City") applied for a grant from the United States Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), Center for Mental Health Services in the amount of Two Million Nine Hundred Six Thousand Six Hundred Fifty-Four Dollars and Zero Cents ($2,906,654.00) over a four (4) year project period from September 30, 2023 through September 29, 2027 to carry out the Community Crisis Response Partnership Project (the "Project"); and
