WHEREAS, on October 14, 2014, the City of Newark through its Purchasing Director advertised to solicit bids for contractor(s) to provide, Fire Hydrants and Parts (M94 or Equivalent), to the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities, as per the bid proposal attached hereto; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing distributed eleven (11) bid proposal packages to the prospective vendors following the date of advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on October 30, 2014, three (3) bids were received in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities recommends that a multiple line item award be made to Brent Material Company, Capitol Supply Construction Products, Inc. and Raritan Group, Inc., the only responsive, responsible bidders; and
