WHEREAS, New Jersey Transit has requested the relocation of the bus stop at Frelinghuysen Avenue and Meeker Avenue because commuters are currently not using this bus stop, and the City of Newark, Division of Traffic and Signals has reviewed and approves this request, and pursuant to N.J.S.A 39:4-197(3)(a), the following described location is relocated as a bus stop:
ADDED BUS STOP:
1. In the South Ward, along Frelinghuysen Avenue, northbound on the easterly side thereof:
Meeker Avenue, near side:
Beginning at the southerly curb line of Meeker Avenue and extending 105 feet southerly therefrom.
DELETED BUS STOP:
2. In the South Ward, along Frelinghuysen Avenue, northbound on the easterly side thereof:
Haynes Avenue, far side:
Beginning at the northerly curb line of Haynes Avenue and extending 105 feet northerly therefrom.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 39:4-197(3)(a) of Title 39 of the Revised Statutes of New Jersey, a municipality may by ordinance, resolution or regulation designate or delete a bus stop.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. In the South Ward, the following described location is hereby added:
Along Frelinghuysen Avenue, northbound on the easterly side, at Meeker Avenue, (near side) beginning at the southerly curb line of Meeker Avenue and extending 105 feet southerly therefrom.
