WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of $12,000.00 for the Falls Prevention program grant and no adequate provision has been made in the 2017 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A: 4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and
WHEREAS, by award letter dated December 9, 2016, from the New Jersey Department of Human Services, Division of Aging Services, the City of Newark has been awarded $12,000.00 to provide funds to train master trainers and coaches to educate caregivers of senior citizens and adults with disabilities in Falls Prevention Program grant, within the City of Newark; and
