WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in the Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of Three Hundred Eighty-Three Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty-Two Dollars and Zero Cents ($383,752.00) for the Division of Public Health Infrastructure, Laboratories and Emergency Preparedness (PHILEP), Program and no adequate provision has been made in the 2023 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and
WHEREAS, by the Notice of Award dated April 26, 2023, the New Jersey Department of Health, Division of PHILEP awarded the City of Newark funds in the amount of $383,752.00. The aforementioned program will provide funds for the provision of health care and supportive services to the residents of the City of Newark; and
