The City of Newark's Special Event Permit Application Fees ($550.00) for street closures and the wenger wagon will be waived.

WHEREAS, over the past twenty (20) years the United Vailsburg Service Organization (UVSO) has been the largest social services agency serving the West Ward, especially for those residents living in Newark's Vailsburg section; and
WHEREAS, every summer UVSO sponsors a community block party for the residents of the West Ward featuring wholesome family entertainment, music, social services, resources providers and vendors, games, rides and food; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support of United Vailsburg Service Organization's "Vailsburg Day Annual Street Festival", being held between Smith Street and South Orange Avenue and South Orange Avenue and Rockland Place, on Sunday, June 16, 2019, from 12:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council does hereby indicate its support of United Vailsburg Service Organization's "Vailsburg Day Annual Street Festival", to be held between Smith Street and South Orange Avenue and South Orange Avenue and Rockland Place, on Sunday, June 16, 2019, from 12:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M.
