WHEREAS, the Department of Health and Community Wellness provides immunization services to increase immunization coverage levels for children and adults through the Immunization Action Plan/Project Vaccinate Program in the City of Newark (hereinafter the "City"); and
WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH), Vaccine Preventable Disease Program, P.O. Box 369, Trenton, New Jersey 08625, has made additional funds available for the provision of such services through the Immunization 2026 Grant; and
WHEREAS, on October 22, 2025, the Municipal Council adopted Resolution 7R5-a which ratified and authorized the Mayor and/or his designee, the Director of the Department of Health and Community Wellness ("DHCW"), to apply for and accept State Funds from the NJDOH Vaccine Preventable Disease Program in the amount of Three Hundred Eighty-Eight Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($388,000.00), for the period of July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026; and
