WHEREAS, the City of Newark's Department of Health and Community Wellness provides childhood lead exposure prevention services for children six (6) months through children younger than seventeen (17) years of age under the Childhood Lead Exposure Prevention (CLEP) Program; and
WHEREAS, the New Jersey Department of Health, has made grant funds available for the provision to address blood lead levels between 3.5-4.9 ug/dl and above and conduct outreach to families; and
WHEREAS, on or about May 16, 2024, on behalf of the City of Newark (the "City"), the Director of the Department of Health and Community Wellness, submitted an application to the New Jersey Department of Health, 369 S. Warren Street, Trenton, New Jersey 08608, requesting grant funding in the amount of Two Million Twelve Thousand Five Hundred and Zero Cents ($2,012,500.00), to address blood lead levels between 3.5-4.9 ug/dL and above and conduct outreach to families, for the period of July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025 (a copy of the Supplemental Notice...
