WHEREAS, the City of Newark (the "City") advertised Contract 41-WS2025 Phase-10(D) Lead Service Line Replacement located at various locations in the City of Newark, on March 9, 2021; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities, distributed twelve (12) bid packages to prospective vendors following the date of bid advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on April 14, 2021, the Department of Water and Sewer Utilities received six (6) bids for the project in accordance with the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, Roman E&G Corporation, 14 Ogden Street, Newark, New Jersey 07104, submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid, according to the specifications and in the total amount of $11,210,513.05 for the base bid, and in the total amount of $1,010,010.50 for the supplemental bid, with a combined base bid and supplemental bid total amount of $12,220,523.55; and
WHEREAS, the City wishes to accept the lowest responsible bid submitted on April 14, 2021 by Roman E&G Corporation, and execute Contract 41-WS2025 Phase-10(D) Lead Service ...
