WHEREAS, the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), 290 Broadway, New York, New York 10007-1866, through the Omnibus Appropriations Act (P.L. 111-8) has provided a grant in the amount of $291,000.00 in Federal funds for Pequannock Watershed System Security Improvements; and

WHEREAS, Public Law 111-8 incorporates, by reference, statements in the Conference Report which directs USEPA to apply cost sharing arrangements with all grant recipients. The above Federal funds (55%) must be accompanied by a cost share requirement whereby 45% of your project's cost is to be the responsibility of the City (local share). Total eligible costs of $529,091.00 must be incurred by the City in order to receive the $291,000.00 in Federal funds which results in a local share of $238,091.00; and

WHEREAS, on or about November 5, 2015 the City of Newark, Department of Water and Sewer Utilities, applied for, and was awarded, grant funding in the amount of $291,000.00 in Federal funds to be used for improvements to the Pequannock Watershed System Security; and
