The Resolution authorizes the Offices of the Mayor and Homeless Services to exercise a one-year option to renew an existing contract. This renewal contract will continue to enable the Offices of the Mayor and Homeless Services to provide outreach services for homeless individuals.

WHEREAS, on July 10, 2024, the Municipal Council adopted Resolution 7R1-m authorizing the Department of Administration to enter into a contract with Bridges Outreach, Inc., 120 Morris Avenue, Summit, New Jersey 07901 to provide street outreach and housing navigation services to unsheltered Newark residents for an amount not to exceed Eight-Hundred Thousand Dollars and Zero Cents ($800,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Department of Administration would like to exercise the one-year (1-year) option to renew that contract for the period from commencing on January 1, 2025 and ending on December 31, 2025; and
WHEREAS, all other contract terms and conditions shall remain the same.
