WHEREAS, on June 19, 2015, the City of Newark through its Purchasing Director advertised to solicit bids for contractor(s) to provide, Fire Suppression Foams and Compounds, as described in the attached bid proposal, to the Department of Fire; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing distributed four (4) bid proposal
packages to the prospective vendors following the date of advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on July 9, 2015, two (2) bids were received in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Fire Department recommends that an award be made to New Jersey Fire Equipment Company, the overall lowest responsive and responsible bidder; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director concurs with the recommendation of an award being made to New Jersey Fire Equipment Company, the overall lowest responsive and responsible bidder; and
