WHEREAS, Resolution 7R4-d adopted, August 7, 2013, authorized the Director of the Department of Engineering to execute Contract #07-2013 Renovations at the Detective Bureau, 21-45 Green Street (a.k.a. 22 Franklin Street), Newark, New Jersey 07102, with Bismark Construction Corporation, 207-209 Berkeley Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07107, in the total bid amount of $677,000.00; and
WHEREAS, due to conditions discovered after the contract was awarded and interior demolition work had begun, the air conditioning units malfunctioned and had to be replaced. Minor changes in the scope of work is needed to address the conditions (See Attachment A); and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Department of Engineering has represented that these change orders are in compliance with N.J.A.C. 5:30-11.3 and 11.8, as they do not materially expand the size, nature of scope of the project, are due to unf...
