WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in the Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of One Hundred Nine Thousand, Three Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents ($109,300.00), for Enhancing Women's Health Outcomes Program, and no adequate provision has been made in the 2026 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose, and N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and
WHEREAS, by the Notice of Award letter dated June 1, 2026, the State of New Jersey Department of Health, Division of Family Health Services awarded the City of Newark funds in the amount of One Hundred Nine Thousand, Three Hundred Dollars and Zero Cents ($109,300.00). The aforementioned program will provide funds for the continued provision of medical care and supportive services for women in City of Newark and surrounding areas; and
