WHEREAS, an emergency has arisen in the Special Item of Appropriation in the amount of $78,750.00 for the Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) Program and no adequate provision has been made in the 2021 Temporary Budget for the aforesaid purpose and N.J.S.A. 40A:4-20 provides for the creation of an emergency appropriation for the purpose above-mentioned; and

WHEREAS, by authorizing resolution 7R5-a, adopted on December 22, 2020, the City of Newark accepted and inserted a partial award for the Sexually Transmitted Disease Program in the amount of $26,250.00 to provide outreach and educational services to include, but not limited to medical and laboratory services and patient follow-up; and

WHEREAS, by grant agreement dated September 24, 2020, the State of New Jersey Department of Health has awarded the City of Newark additional funds for the Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) Program in the amount of $78,750.00 bringing total...
