This Resolution authorizes the City of Newark to enter into Agreement Modification #1 to Federal Aid Cost Reimbursement Agreement #2021-DT-DLA-552 with the New Jersey Department of Transportation, to extend the contract term through January 29, 2027.

WHEREAS, the City's Department of Engineering, Division of Traffic and Signals, is in need of professional services to prepare the preliminary engineering services, Final Design (FD) services and handle Construction Engineering Support (CE) services for the proposed City of Newark Safe Routes to Schools Design Assistance Program; and
WHEREAS, by Resolution 7R3-a dated March 3, 2021, the City of Newark accepted funds from the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), in the amount of Three Hundred Ninety-Six Thousand Nine Hundred Dollars and Sixty-Eight Cents ($396,900.68), to provide for the Safe Routes to School Design Assistance program to provide for improvements that enable and encourage walking and bicycling to sc...
