WHEREAS, the Municipal Council is desirous of supporting the Mayor's Public Safety Spanish-Speaking Community Meeting at Central High School (Auditorium), at 246 18th Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07108, on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.; and
WHEREAS, the Municipal Council has indicated its support for this wholesome event by supporting the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWARK, NEW JERSEY, THAT:
1. The Municipal Council supports the issuance of a Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement, drawn by the City of Newark Insurance Fund Commission, for the benefit of Newark Public Schools, 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for any claims arising out of the City of Newark's use of Central High School (Auditorium), at 246 18th Avenue, Newark, New Jersey 07108, on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. for the Mayor's Public Safety Spanish-Speaking Community Meeting.
2. The City Clerk, on behalf of the Municipal Council, shall forward a true copy of the Hold Harmless and Indemnification Agreement to Newark Public Schools, 765 Broad Street, Newark, New Jersey 07102, for their records.
