WHEREAS, on August 4, 2015, the City of Newark through its Director of Purchasing advertised to solicit bids for contractors to provide four (4) 2015 or Newer Harley-Davidson FLHP Road King Police Motorcycles, to the Police Department through the Division of Motors; and
WHEREAS, the Division of Central Purchasing also distributed five (5) bid proposal packages to prospective vendors following the date of advertisement; and
WHEREAS, on August 20, 2015, the Division of Central Purchasing one (1) bid was received in response to this advertisement; and
WHEREAS, the Manager of the Division of Motors reviewed the bids and recommended that an award be made to the only responsive responsible bidder, Harley- Davidson of Bergen, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, during the November 05, 2015 regular public meeting of the Newark Municipal Council Resolution 7R1-I was adopted authorizing this purchase; and
